Holi : Sania Mirza fascinates children

Today is holi and kids in Kolkata are seen playing with powdered colours and colour sprinklers, says the media. This year different 'Pitchkaris' bear the pictures of tennis Queen Sania Mirza and Cricket master Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Pichkaris with pictures of film stars were common thing earlier but pictures of sports persons is trendy this year and are in great demand.

The popularity of sports stars seems to be mounting and the sports star seem to have beaten the popularity of Bollywood filmstars in this regard. All the children are insisting on buying these and are seen to flock the shops selling these sprinklers.

The Telegraph quoted one of the shopkeepers selling saying, 'It is not uncommon to find the faces of cricketers on sprinklers, but no tennis player has ever made it to Holi gear. Not even Calcutta's own Leander Paes.' Another character to set craze among the children is boy wizard Harry Potter.

It's indeed a smart a move on the part of the manufacturer to augment their sale and at the same time it speaks volumes for Sania Mirza and Mahendra Dhoni's popularity.
