Sania-Alicia sail into Istanbul doubles semis

Sania Mirza and Australian Alicia Molik sailed into the doubles semifinals with a facile victory over Jelena Kostanic and Angelique Widjaja in the $200,000 WTA Tour event in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday.

Sania and Alicia defeated the Indonesia-Croatian pair 6-3 6-3 in the quarterfinals of the last event leading into the French Open Grand Slam.

The Indo-Australian duo had a walk over in the first round from Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany and American Meghann Shaughnessy.
